FREE Pretend Printable Passports & Country Stamps
We have had a LOT of fun with our Pretend Printable Passports and country stamps! These are simple to put together, easy to use and FREE. Most of all . . . they make learning and studying about places around the globe SO. MUCH. MORE. FUN.
Imagine sitting and reading to your students from a geography textbook or having them read out loud from same. They may actually retain some of the information.
NOW – imagine reading the same information, but while you are reading the important facts about these foreign lands . . . your kiddos are stamping their pretend printable passports. They are adding stickers to their passports, getting out their maps and globes to see how far away they live from the place they are learning about.
Better – RIGHT?
How to Use Your Printable Passports
Print and laminate these passports and country stamps for a fun twist in your homeschool. There are two passports in each download, cut on the dotted line and fold on the solid line – laminate after cutting and folding.
We also used fun ink pads and stamps to decorate them even more. Kids love to stamp them as they embark on a virtual journey to far away countries. Country stamps can be glued into place for a more authentic feel – or you can use a sticker maker to create real stickers.
- Use books and online resources or other geography curriculum to research countries and read about them together.
- Cooking recipes from countries you “visit”
- Try various art projects which speak to certain regions.
Cut out individual stickers and either glue them into your passports, or run them through a simple sticker maker like this cool one from Xyron.
Get out your favorite Atlas – we love the Children’s Atlas of God’s World by Craig Froman. Look up the country or region of your studies. Use a globe, or large floor map to allow kids to pick out the area and compare it to their own location.
