Once the sun finally came out, they had so much fun stomping around the yard following their maps!
Another fun idea is to use inexpensive composition books and make “Nature Journals” or “Travel Journals” – we glued some of the paper bags and pieces of maps (it was actually packaging for maps – formerly bound for the trash can) to make journals the boys could use to record information we study on different countries. It’s an easy way to be creative when you’re stuck in the house and helps you plan for more adventures to enjoy with the family in the great outdoors!
